Romana speaks about how to organize to resist divestment and defunding of public education. She has led community engagement initiatives and coalition-building with other PDSB committees (Special Education Advisory Committee), unions (OSSTF D-19 and Peel Elementary Teachers’ Local) and community groups (Multicultural Inter-Agency Group of Peel (MIAG), We Rise Together (WRT), Advocacy Peel).
